COMMAND

    XFS

SYSTEMS AFFECTED

    IRIX 5.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4.

PROBLEM

The XFS filesystem is an SGI specific architecture for organizing
and accessing files on a local physical system. Silicon Graphics
systems that are using XFS filesystems may be vulnerable to a
security issue where files may be truncated. A local account is
required in order to exploit this vulnerability both locally and
remotely. Credit for this goes to Silicon Graphics Special Team.

SOLUTION

Unfortunately, there are no immediate or temporary workarounds for
this issue. The issue can only be addressed with a patch
    1409/1674/1667.
