COMMAND

    Xaserver

SYSTEMS AFFECTED

    Solaris 2.6

PROBLEM

Sun gave #4070627 as ID in their bug database for following.
The Solaris 2.6 5/98 distribution did not include
/usr/openwin/bin/Xaserver but the inetd.conf still refers to it.
However, same can be found with the Solaris 2.6 HW 3/98
distribution that also "includes" the nonexistent path to (X audio
server) in /etc/inet/inetd.conf. Vanilla 2.6 does the same.

Having the system busy looking for Xaserver will cause new
sessions to fail as memory is consumed.

SOLUTION

Remarking out or removing the line in inetd.conf fixes the
problem. It's a bug in the /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig script; it will
add the service when installing the other dt services.
